Australian Birdlife Outside My Window
Today has been a good day to be sitting on my balcony – the sun’s out and the Aussie bird life has been visiting me 🙂

A magpie is trying to bully the baby kookaburra from its perch

A very colourful rosella paying me a visit

Totally unexpected visitor landed on my balcony railing as I was about to go inside

Imagine having all these wonderful birds in your back yard! I love kookaburras. I’ll never forget that morning in Featherdale Wildlife Park when a kookaburra was sitting high up in a tree laughing his head off at us. Funniest thing I ever heard. 🙂

You know how the song goes, right? Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree, merry merry king of the bush is he! Laugh! Kookaburra laugh! Kookaburra gay your life must be! Hehe. This one was just a baby though and very quiet but he stood his ground when the magpie tried to bully him off his perch!
